Certification by the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies is a recognized mark of competence in CBT. The work sample review is where many strong clinicians fall short, often because of session structure, not clinical skill.
This live webinar walks through how work samples are rated on the Cognitive Therapy Rating Scale, item by item. You’ll learn the structural elements raters look for, including agenda setting, homework review, feedback, and summaries. You’ll also learn how to demonstrate guided discovery, a focus on key cognitions and behaviors, and a clear strategy for change in a recorded session. We’ll cover common reasons work samples fall short and how to prepare a strong case write-up.
Presenter: Dr. Lisa Napolitano, J.D., Ph.D., ABPP, is a board-certified psychologist and a Fellow, Certified Trainer, and Consultant of the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies. She is the Founder and President of FL-CBT.
Who should attend: Licensed clinicians and advanced trainees preparing to apply for A-CBT certification, and anyone who wants to sharpen session structure and CBT technique.
