Co-Founder and President

Lisa A. Napolitano, J.D., Ph.D, is the Founder of CBT/DBT Associates, a boutique psychology practice in New York and Florida specializing in CBT and DBT with adults established in 2009.
Dr. Napolitano is board certified in Behavioral and Cognitive Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) and has over 20 years of clinical experience and of training and supervising doctoral students. She is a Fellow/Certified Trainer and Consultant of the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine where she has taught CBT and DBT to psychiatry residents for 14 years.

Previously, she served as the Chair of the International Training Committee of the International Association for Cognitive Psychotherapy (IACP) and as Director of CBT Training in China for the Beijing Suicide Prevention Project. She is a Founding Fellow and Past Membership Chair of the New York City CBT Association (NYC-CBT), as well as a member of Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT) where she served on the Program Committee for 8 years. She is a member of the Florida Psychological Association and Entrepreneurs Organization of South Florida.

Dr. Napolitano graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University, with an A.B. in political economy and earned her doctorate in clinical psychology at Fordham University. Prior to entering the field of psychology, she graduated cum laude from the Cardozo School of Law.

She practices in Coconut Grove and lives in Miami Beach.
