BFRB 101 – A Beginner’s Guide to Understanding and Treating Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors – May 16th

Join us for a professional training webinar on Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs), led by licensed professional counselor Julie Featherman and emceed by Dr. Lisa Napolitano, President and Co-Founder of the Florida CBT Association.

BFRBs, such as hair pulling (trichotillomania) and skin picking (excoriation disorder), can significantly impact an individual’s well-being. This webinar will provide an introduction to understanding and treating these behaviors, offering clinicians valuable insights into evidence-based interventions.

Participants will explore the underlying mechanisms of BFRBs, learn practical therapeutic approaches, and gain strategies to support clients in managing these repetitive behaviors effectively.

Julie Featherman is a licensed professional counselor specializing in mental health treatment, with extensive experience in cognitive-behavioral approaches for anxiety and compulsive disorders.

This training is an excellent opportunity for clinicians looking to expand their expertise in treating BFRBs and integrating effective strategies into their practice.
