Florida CBT

Our mission is to bring Florida CBT therapists together and learn from each other.

The Florida CBT Association is a 501c3 organization created to build a collegial community of mental health providers (e.g., psychologist, psychiatrists, social workers, nurse practitioners), students, and trainees located in Florida who are committed to the practice of CBT.

This multidisciplinary nonprofit organization is dedicated to the dissemination of evidence-based treatments in Florida. It seeks to promote the use of CBT and clinical research on CBT interventions among professionals and students.  We will hold both informal social networking events as well as formal presentations and workshops.

The Florida CBT Association is a non-political organization solely focused on the practice and research of evidence-based treatment. We are committed to respecting the rights and belief systems of all individuals and recognize privilege and oppression and how it can affect a person’s lived experience.

As a membership organization, FL-CBT values the inclusion of diverse groups from a variety of professional and educational backgrounds, and honors their views across all areas of the organization. We recognize that when people across identity groups are regarded and engaged as full participants in leadership, decision making and programs, we are able to provide resources and programs that best meet the needs of our members and the public. As such, FL-CBT leadership embraces diversity, equality and inclusiveness as a core value for all members, staff, and volunteers.
